Ok, so I see two types of ball joints, if I search google, press in and screw in.
Looking at mine, they look like HUGE rivets. I can't pull them out or unscrew them. ??? The MII ball joints I found have three bolts and nuts that drop through the same holes that are solid in mine.
I was hoping to get my front end done but I keep finding more stuff to work on.
Any help would be appreciative.
Thanks,
Adam
From the factory they came with rivits..mustang 2 and pinto.. you remove the rivits with a cold chisel and the new Ball joints come with bolts...

Awesome!
Thanks.
I didn't want to take the old ones off before figuring what I was doing.
Original ball joints... Impressive. The car *only* had 288k on it when I parked her. ;D
BTW, Does anyone know what size bolt is used for the lower shock mount? Mine is frozen solid inside the sleeve. No amount of penetrating fluid, heating or beating is breaking it loose.
