I want to fit a front clip off a Mustang II on my 80 Pinto and want to know if anyone has had the experience yet?

With the exception of the crossmember being wider, it is basicly the same as what you have now.

Sweet! I want to put the front end on the Pinto and wanted to know if I should grab it this weekend or not. How much modification is needed?

I believe that 2point3 wants to put Mustang II front fenders, hood, grill, and all on a Pinto.

I see the scallops being a problem for starters.... :amazed:

If that is what he is talking about.... I understand....

I thought he was talking about the front suspention......

I am used to seeing 'front end' as the suspention and 'front clip' as the body.

Front clip is what I ment. I saw a red "Mustinto" and it was pretty sweet looking. I dont want to copy him but I like it so much I think I will anyway.

Why would the scallops be a problem and what are they exactly?

I think he is talking about the body lines; it would be hard to blend them in as they are different and the Mustang II body is wider.

I would like to see that pic. I had thoughts of doing the same for quite awhile now. blending the body lines would be the hardest thing i believe. if i remember right when i compared the fenders i think the mustang II's were shorter on the side toward the doors.

Interesting I too would like to see a picture. Years ago while on vacation in San Deigo I was a Ranchero with a Mercury Comet clip. I did a double take when I first saw it.

hey guysmy neighbors tree fell today and smashed my 78pinto,looking for drivers front fender and maybe a new hood.anyone got extra please let me know
