Title: Fuel Milage??

Hey guys,

Im finnaly getting my 1980 pinto together and with these gas prices going up and up im hoping that I am going to get really good milage with it.

What is the best milage i can expect to get from it and what do you guys get with yours?
Any fuel saving tips? thanks guys!

As for what to do to get better mileage, tuneup, air filter, tire pressure, carb adjustments, oil & other fluid changes, check the brakes for dragging (you may not feel it but they could be).
Pretty much any maintenence that needs done to the car will help it out.

Well, my 75 gets 17 on the highway.   :embarassed:
It should get a little better in the city but I don't know the exact number.
Nothing compared to today's hyrbids, thats for sure.
But still fun to drive.

My yellow car:

2.3T EFI (not fully stock), 86 T/C T-5, 3.40 gears, 215-60 14"s, gets 35 hwy.


Connie's car:

(Before) N/A 2.3 (not fully stock), C3, 3.55 gears, 195-70 13"s got 20 hwy.

(Now) 2.3T EFI (stock + factory roller cam), C3, 3.0 gears, 195-70 13"s gets 26 hwy.

my 76 bobcat wagon, power stearing and ac (not on)  c3 tranny  3:18 6 3/4 rear end  Last time i check 24 on highway crusing at 70mph.
