Hi, when i bought my low mileage Pinto I find that I no longer want to drive it so as to not put more miles on it and it just sits in my garage looking pretty. I have a '23 Ford Touring car street rod with full fenders and a top and it has all Pinto drive train including automatic transmission. Would this car qualify to attend So.Ca. Pinto Club events? Thanks, Gordie Chamberlin
Why don't you take the Pinto out? Do you no longer have it? If so you might as well take it out & enjoy it, as it's not doing it any good just sitting around.
Just my 2 cents
Hey, tell us about the Pinto and pics if possible. For that matter let's see the '23 as well.
I'm not in So. Ca. but I'm sure the guy's would be happy to get to know ya and hang out.

Hello, the Model T touring has a glass body mounted on an original Model
T frame and is painted bright orange with black interior and top and I call it my Pumpkin. It is fun to drive and quite fast as it is light.
The Pinto is a 1977 and according to the invoice is a 2300 CC 2V with select shift cruisomatic, steel belted radial tires, passenger compartment carpeting, security lock group, deluxe trim rings, sport accent stripes and can you believe dealer installed port a walls at $12.00 extra. It was sold at Wilmington DE on 2-14-75 and I have every paper that was issued for the car including the original owners cancelled check. Apparently the owner passed away soon after buying the car and it was in his garage most of its life. When the car was offered for sale it had 603 original miles and it now has 609 miles. That is why I do not drive it and want to keep it new. It still has the assemblers chalk marks on the firewall from 33 years ago and I start it occasionally to keep it limber and the fluids working. It is still a new car!
Sorry, I meant to say that the Pinto is a 1975 and not a 1977
:welcome:
Wow 609 miles!:oI speak for everyone on this site in saying I would love to see some pictures of this car!

Well, in that case, I can't say I blame you. I'd be hard pressed to drive a Pinto with less than 700 miles on it. Got any pics of this rare low, low mileage Pinto?
Hi, I am in the process of moving my cars from Los Angeles to St. Joseph MO and it is a big job and the Pinto is just stored at this time. I found it at the Carlisle Fall meet a couple of years ago and transported it from Carlisle to St Joseph and have not even been able to clean it up from the trip. I took one picture of it at Carlisle and will take more when I get settled in St Joseph. I will write up a little story on its history when I get caught up with moving. When I bought it I never thought about not being able to drive and enjoy it but now that I have it I do not want to put any more miles on it. That is kind of an odd situation to be in. I will never find another with those kind of miles and I am just going to keep it as new as I can.
