I see a few pictures of Pintos with '80s Mustang turbine/hurricane wheels on them.
How do you manage it without rubbing the upper A-arm? Thanks!
1/2 " spacers on front none on rear, I have the 10 hole fox body wheels with 225/50r15 no rubbing at all
Would 1/4" spacers be thick enough? I got a couple of them hanging on a nail on the wall (along with the rag joint that I had two years and still haven't installed...). 10mm?
Thanks!
i ground a 1/8 out of the top a arm and i was ruff on that car and never had any problem's
This is my wagon with 1/2" spacer no rubbing the inner fender well when in full lock, no hitting the UBJ.

16" wheels off a '88 turbo coupe with 225-60-16" tires rubbed on the front part of the leaf springs. Also had some rubbing on the passenger front of the wheel well.
I manipulated the wheel well lip. I used washers (I know not the best) to space the wheels out about 3/16". I only used them short term. Frankly I would never recommend the 16" wheels (Ford) on the Pinto. General it requires a low profile tire that looks too "Ricer" (to me) and the suspension really isn't optimized for such a tire.
15" in a 195-205 60 series might work and look good.

Looks good. I assume that is your 78? Did you have to install longer studs with the spacers?
Thanks Tigger, yes I did install longer studs on the front rotors, 3" Moroso.
