I installing an alumn. dash in the wagon and I need to order gauges tonight..
Is the fuel sender a 0 to 90ohm sender? I need that info so I`ll get the right gauge.
Thanks
When you purchase your fuel gauge tell them you need it for a Ford. They should be able sell you one that match's the Ford settings. If not try Jeg's or Summit.I got mine from Jeg's and it works fine.
I do order from summit but there sales people don`t know jack.. I`ve had to return too many parts because I trusted a sales person that was just reading from a book.
There are about 4 different senders and I think ford used 2 out of those
0-90ohm
70-10ohm
240-33ohm
70-10ohm
I just want to get it right the 1st time
The Ford wiring diagrams for 77 thru 80 Pintos indicates the fuel tank level sender is 8 to 12 ohms when full and 60 to 86 ohms when empty. My 71 and 76 diagrams do not state the resistance.
Thanks
I`ll get the 70-10 ohm
