I found a photo of Christopher "Big Black" Boykin's pinto.
It's a 79.

Recently, he converted to biodiesel and painted the whole thing bright green.
The episode of Rob and Big that documents the change is here if you're interested.

Ooooo.... I gotta get me a copy of that episode.
Thanks ;D
I remember seeing that episode and Im really surprised he kept the car. Being as big as he is I thought he would have traded it for something a bit bigger.

Phils toys
Yes!!! Very funny...
Notice how they never actually show the oil going in the car....
Besides you have to start the engine with deisel and shut the car off burning deisel fuel and I do not see 2 tanks??
I really do not think you can put the oil you get from a burger joint right in w/o some refining...
From Pintony
I dont think they did anything to the car, I dont see any smoke or hear a diesel rattle. And yes, the oil has to be filtered. The county were I live runs some of thier diesels on it, it smells like french fries. You dont need two tanks though, a diesel will run off most any oil, they run a 50/50 mix. I run my bobcat (skid loader) off of used atf. Runs and starts better than diesel and its free.
Hey Tony,
I flipped this car! :afro:

Sweet, whats the info on it? and how did it get to Christopher? what work did you do to it? any before and after pictures?
haha so many questions. Just because the car looks great with no rust or anything.
Is there any way to contact him to let him know about this site?
(if he does not already know)

I think he could use some help based on the way the car sounded in the beginning of the latest video.
No I was joking, I didn't sell the guy the car. But "The Big Bad Pinto Flipper" would have! :cheesy_n:
This would be rumor and you know how I don't like rumors but I heard he bought it for 3K or something?

That's what he said in both shows... "best $3000 I ever spent"

Right you are Tony. I saw an episode of "Trucks" on Spike about a year back where they got used oil from some burger joint & showed what needs to be done to make the oil usable. The whole setup to refine the oil to biodiesel was quite costly if I remember, so it wasn't something that could be taken right from the fryer to the gas tank.
There was an episode of Rob and Big on today which featured Big Black's Pinto. They picked it up from the shop and it was painted bright green.
