For all you Turbo experts out there this is probably a easy question.  For me? I just want to be sure.
On my turbo transplant I am going to a manual boost control (valve type).
I have a IHI turbo.  What is the best way to install it.  From what I have seen ( which is a few) They connect one hose to the wastegate and the other hose to the vac outlet on the manifold.  But I am not 100% sure this is right.
If that is the way, do I just cap all the other outlets on the turbo inlet neck etc. :lost:

as for the other hose fittings , im assuming you mean the 2 on the turbo inlet. yes , you can cap them. as for the boost valve you just need a vacuum source for one side and the wastegate on the other.

If it's a Gillis type valve, the only thing you need is a hose for the vacuumn source off the intake to the bottom side of the valve and a hose from the side of the valve to the waste gate. The knob on the top of the valve is turned clockwise to increase boost and counter clockwise to lower it. There is a light and a heavy spring to go to higher boost levels if you want it.

Thanks, that is what I need to know.  One more question.
With the Gillis valve or any other for that matter, which is the best source for tapping in at, the intake on the other side of the throttle body or off the turbo housing or does it matter.

It needs to be after the throttle body.
