sweet thanks so the starters should be the same too and i ment to say the 2.0 parts are 1972 and the 2.3 parts are 1974?

The starters all fit.I think some have a little different placement of the power termanal but this is not an issue.My starter is out of an 88 ranger,Perfect fit.
