Title: Fuel tank
Post by: Fred Morgan on March 19, 2008, 06:43:05 PM
My daughters pinto was hit by drunk driver on I-17 in PHX AZ, car whent end over end then rolled 2 times, and yes their was fuel in back seat. Only parts I could save was gas cap, license plate and lft. rear window. So I built her another 1, we spent over $4000. on parts. My fix for fuel tank instaled 12gal. foamed filled dragster tank. She had to open hatch to fill. She was hit again in sandy eggo ca.. Now Im building a 78 to make look like a 73. Been runing 2.3 94 ranger with 5spd.. She to scared to drive a pinto again   :'(  Im trying to get her to log on, so if you pintoers here from Ashley Morgan give her some good words thanks Fred.

Wow, so sorry to hear about your daughter's accidents. I can see why the car wouldn't hold good memories for her. Maybe in time she will feel better.

5 gallon RCi Fuel Cell in the hatch of my '78 as well. It makes me feel a lot safer in case there would be a accident on the track or next year when it gets put back on the road... hopefully.
