Hello being new here.I am buying a '77 Pinto Wagon Friday,I haven't been to look at it but from the pictures it is worth the price of $300.00. It has a 4cyl engine with automatic trans. Did they only have 1 4cyl engine in 1977? Also what would be the cid? Looks like it might be good for a rebuild the body is in great shape and the interior is decent.
Thanks for your help,
Cliff
welcome to the site and congrats on your pinto!! in 77 the only 4 banger was the 2.3, 140ci.
Thanks, I will be able to do more research on how to make it quicker and hopefully get good gas mileage.

Welcome Cliff,
Enjoy your wagon and make her better than when you got her. It's a Pinto thing!

Thanks for the welcome and the links. A friend of mine who knows quiet a bit about the 2.3 is going to come over so we can go through it and fix whats wrong with it.Which will give me time to find a turbo engine to go in. It has a auto in it,I hope I don't have to change to a manual trans.
:welcome: Glad to hear someone else in the world is getting interested in Pinto's and has joined the great community of fordpinto.com. Good luck in your Pinto-ing project. And once again, :welcome:
