Title: Stock hub caps
Post by: dave1987 on March 18, 2008, 03:00:11 AM
I found these on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-PINTO-HUBCAPS-1974-1975-1976-1977-1978-1980-ERA_W0QQitemZ360033588576QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item360033588576

Did this style of hub caps originally have the black around the inner and outer grooves or should it be one color tone?

all of the ones like this I have seen do have the black painted in them.  That is not to say that someone else didn't do it, but I have had quite a few Pintos in my time, and all of them that had hubcaps had the accent paint.  (I have had 3 with hubcaps)  If you are looking for a set of hubcaps though, I have a set here in the classifieds, all 4, and I can gaurantee I will make them cheep.  I am not looking to get alot out of them, just hate to throw them away when I move.  Call me a pack rat, but I just can't seem to throw away good parts if someone out there could use them.

I know what you mean by being a pack rat, I'm the same way!

I'll probably attempt to paint the accents back onto my original hub caps, but thank you for the offer!
