there are many members who don't fill out there location. this a hindrance to invite people to meets. also to know if want to offer parts or even a hand with this or that.
so to all. please go to edit profile and ad ur location and then put ur pin in the map. most all here appreciate it.
thanx

After reading this post I went to member map, and was amazed that there are many more new pins in my area! This is grate.
I'll have to say this is worth a bump....Bump

I tried finding an answer in the FAQs and by doing a search, but this old thread is the closest thing that I could find. I want to move my pin from the apartments that I lived at in 2011, to the house I am in right now. My new address is 8520 E. 20th street (the house in the satellite view with the gray roof) If anybody could help me move my pin, or if an admin could do it, thanks in advance!
I tried unsuccessfully to move it for you - not quite sure how that's done. I'll call it to Scott Hamilton's attention. If anyone can fix it for you, it will be him!
Dwayne :)
I'm on several other forums that require location and for sale price of items listed for sale. I can see no reason why any body on the forum would not list their location. I can see several dark reasons to not list the location. If I'm wrong, tell me your reason and I'll be shut up.
There are plenty of justifications for pinning the map, and for not pinning. We don't require it of anyone... it's totally optional. The original post in this thread is from 2008. FYI: Scott says only a member can move their own pin, and they have to be signed in to do it. Hope this helps!

Hey Doug- long time no talk, hope thing are going well!
Dwayne alerted me on this, To change your member map pin- go the member map page and click on the link near the bottom 'to place or edit your pin' -this will take you back to your profile BUT you are in a special edit mode at this time for the member map. If you click on your pin (maybe double click) you will be able to move it where you need it to be with all the Google Map tools at your disposal.
The only way and Admin change this for you is to login as you and then since we aren't you, we don't really know where you would like it to be placed.. Always better for the user to do this...
:)
Let us know! Glad to help...
