Fellow Pintonians,
I am in the deathhold of Pinto fever. Whilst my lovely brown sedan sits in anticipation of many dollars and hours to be lavished upon it, my wandering eye has caught the temptuous curves of yet another car. The object of my affection has sat (from the looks of the photos anyways) since 1979, and perhaps needs the company of another.
So a friend of mine has noticed a 71-73 sedan sitting in the parking lot of his work, accumulating parking tickets no less, for a few years without movement. I don't know if it is even for sale, but it is in similar condition to mine, rust-free, although one fender has seen better days, having something dropped or smucked into it. I do have photos, but due to the fact that a transaction has not even been spoken of, I'll hold off
Sadly, my purpose for such a car is a little more sinister than you may think. I am looking for a race car. More specifically, an ice racer. Something that could handle a few bumps etc. Actually, the smarter thing to do would be to get this car as a road car and race the '77. But I digress, I am getting a little ahead of myself here. A girl can dream can't she?
I currently own 3 vehicles, the '77, the Mustang & my truck. Fiancée owns a Lincoln and an ice racer. Damn we need a bigger driveway.
I will update as more details become available.
PonyGal,
Find the owner and ask them if they want that car anymore...they might not.

It is a shame to hear of that pinto has been sitting there for years with no one to love her. Just like a stray dog, maybe you can help by calling the local authorities and finding out if she has an owner. If she will go up for auction, etc. then let the others know if you cannot give her a home and maybe someone will pick her up, clean her up and make her proud again. keep us posted.

I have a friend investigating this situation further :P I mean, who wants a ton of steel sitting around costing them $$ in parking tickets?
Hopefully find out something soon!
Rear ended/Ponygal,
I wouldn't go making a big deal out of it cause #1 You don't want to have to get rabies shots...#2 What might have cost you 25 bucks might end up costing you 50...or even more if the scrap man attends the auction. Just be casual... :nocool:...and cool... :look:...don't attract attention... :lost:...keep your eye's open... :read:. I'm rooting for ya!!!
