Title: too much backpressure???

i just thought of this while driveing today.  my muffler is the stock one from a 86 hondad civic with a 1.5L  the pipes matched up and my honda isn't running so i thought what the hell. (wife complaining about the noise from glasspack). is this what could be causing my brap pop pop falls onit's face when floored at high revs issuie???
