Where can I find the correct window weatherstripping for a '79 2-door? I've looked on JCWhitney and SummitRacing but I can't find the right style. Please help!
which window? front? rear? hatch? sedan? or for door glass?
The stripping around the roll-down windows for both the driver and passenger doors for the trunk-style.
here's an Ebay Seller who has it...

and a cheaper Ebay Seller who has similar stuff it appears.

first one is more expensive and doesn't list years and lists as generic. cut to fit.
but the second and cheaper seller only lists 71-75 and says has all the proper bends and such - more like OEM
Not sure if there is any difference between 71-75 and the 79 you have but I ??think?? it "should" be the same
also... Trunk can also be called a Sedan - that's what Ford called them.
also you could try Green Sales http://www.greensalescompany.com/
and AutoKrafters http://www.autokrafters.com/
I know AutoKrafters is not listing on their web site right now but sometimes when you "call" they have it.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
how about door seals?
I found some on ebay, but unfortunately they want $100 for the pair.

That's what they sell for... everywhere :(
IMHO: That is such a good price I almost want to damage mine so I need new ones....
Bill
Actually... I agree w/Bill. it's really not a bad price considering. It would be nice if it was less but all things considered we're lucky to have any option at all.
$100 for the pair, all things considered, really is not too bad. FYI, new door seals for my 87 Mustang (which are somewhat more desirable than Pintos by the general masses, and therefore replacement parts are made by more than one source) run around $50 a pair. Now, most Pinto owners that drive their cars, do it because they are relatively cheap to maintain, but those of us that are trying to restore them, are going to end up paying more for parts due to very few sources for replacements. This is something that all people restoring/customizing obscure cars are going to go through. Just ask anyone trying to restore an Edsel, or a Corvair.
