i just had a thought (lathought i doubt that i'm the first) will a 2.3 head bolt onto a 2.0 block?? this would make things alot easier.

 No, Its not even close. ( however a Volvo twin cam head will fit a 2.3 block   ;D

LOTS of custom fabbing needed though. Whoever does it should own a machine shop.

Question...what year volvo and what size engine? This is interesting....
