Title: I'm new here, but here is my Pinto racer.. (last years pic)
Post by: DaGiant on January 26, 2008, 12:39:24 PM
Hi all, I'm new to this forum.
I race a Pinto in the Pony Stock/ Mini Stock
division at both Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino
and at Irwindale Speedway. I'm having a blast with it.
I'm starting to look for a Pinto I can build as a street car now,
(currently have a '92 T-Bird) I have to relocate the seat but
other wise good to go.. LOL
I'm hoping me and my Racecar will be able to go to some of these
runs and shows coming up.
It's in my Avatar but here it is again.. Pinto's rock!

ORANGE SHOW!
Every time I hear that track mentioned I think of Ivan Baldwin.
Ivan moved to the Stockton/Modesto area in the 70s from San Bberdo, and revolutionized local short track racing in this area.
Are you going to bring your Pony to Knott's?

:welcome: Love Pinto's and love race cars even more. I have had a few in my time, but now I am just cruising the street.

Thanks for the Welcome!

At this point I would love to bring my Racer to the Knotts show,
opening night at OSS is the night before so it'll be loaded and ready..
waiting for Registration info for sure.

Yes Ivan was the "MAN" when it came to short tracks in California,
his "Crew Chief" at OSS Gary Nelson hasn't done to bad either.
Ivan was a fabricator for Kenny Schrader when he passed away
about 10yrs ago now.
