Hi i am making a 1972 ford pinto wagon into a hot rod. i want to put a 302 with a five speed out of an 1986? ford mustang i am buyin from a guy from my work and i also want to make it a pannel car and paint it with the starsky and hutch. I am gonna leave the 2.0L in it untill i got everything ready for the 302 and i might messaroud with the 2.0 to soo how powerfull i can get it. it would be cool to cam it out and make a custome four pack out of dirt bike carbs.

hi it is a 72 with disks in the front and drums in rear the front calipers need woor i want to find a rebuild kit. i have had it for about two weeks and it is in my garage it has not ran for four years and we got it runnin in two days this. weekend i pulled the tranny cuz the clutch was bad next weekend i pllan to get a new one in. i am located in montana i am gonna pannel it also but first i am going to give the car as much rake as i can. while i still have the 2.0 in it if i have some extra time i want to go to the mortorcycle salvage yard in my town and get four identical carbs and make a custome four pack. :hypno:
here is a ruff sketch of what i what the pinto to look like ahhah mabey not so extreem but you should get the idea ha
I also got another question are the regular 72 pinto wagons lighter or heavier then the cruzin wagon and are they the same dimentions.
yes i got another pinto today is is identical to my wagon same color same year but it is a runabout and it is an automatic. it was such a great deal all we had to do was call the owner and he said it is yours for seventy five bucks and we went out pumped the petal and it started right up. Rock on! thats a ford for you. It has been sitting there for easyly half a year and it is in near perfect shape on the fron half and the rear is ok but the part that must have gotten hit...it runs sooo good and is in such good shape now to decide whict pinto to put my 302 into hmm...
here is kinda where i am at it is kinda a bad pic but you will get the idea
