i know you can either drill or get step dowels for the bell but will the flex plate and torque convertor work witha 2.3? thanks steve
Converter yes, flexplate MAYBE (they have different bolt patterns where they mount to the crankshaft). I say 'maybe' because I have HEARD that there were some aftermarket ones made with both patterns; I have never seen one.

I have a 2.0 bell from a 73 Capri and we had to modify the plate adapter for it to fit the 2.3. Worked but it was a pain and the Capri starter is like no other. Made specific for the Capri bell and also the converter is real small/strange looking.
BTW: I have steel stepped dowels for sale in the parts for sale section.

Hey, I wonder...
Do any C3 parts interchange...i.e., can the C3 flexplate be used with the C4 converter?

Sorry for missing that one. NO, the C3 uses a 3 bolt converter, where the C4 has a 4 bolt one.
BTW: Thanks Tony, glad you like them.
