I was watching that one on ebay. Looks like a nice car for 2K, congrats.

Did you get the dead crash test dummy too?

BTW: Whats wrong with the bumpers on the car? (DIBS)

the crome is very dull almost wore off . I had been to shows with the car and had posted pictures of it before the hood paint job. at one time it belonged to a member on here ( pintok) Last year at Carlisle i was looking for rims for that car
but it was sold while we were at carlisle.

I though I would have one with a "D4" part number, but I don't. I only have "D8" and "E1" exhaust manifolds. I checked this to my 77 one (has the heat shield so I can't see the part #) and it looks the same. I never had a pre 77 2.3 with the manifold still on it.

Please take a good look at this "D8" to see if it looks like yours. Yours might not have the EGR set up the same way. I can't imagine why this would not work for you, but ask if you have questions.

I hope someone here can help with a little more info.

The EGR tube fitting is cut and will need to be removed or plugged. The EGR runners have carbon build up and should be cleaned if needed. The flange studs are in very good shape. All the matting surfaces are good. It will need to be cleaned.

I have a set of bumpers for a 78.I'm not sure if they are the same or not.These may be aluminum.

All 76 and earlier Pintos came with steel bumpers.

A magnet will tell you.....
