That would depend on your goals.

Unless you modify the 5.0 HO, the 2.3 turbo will outrun it.

whaaaaaaaat. it was a four B. intake. thats bout it i was just gonna strap it in like that for now and rebuild it in the future and balance it and all. plus i think it would be way cheeper to use the 302.

Dillon,

I agree with Turbo Toy. Stay with the Four Cylinder. Don't get me wrong I love my V8s and they do move the car very quickly in a straight line. If you want to maintain any handleing to the car go with a 2.3 turbo motor. These came from Ford with about 215HP stock. The 5.0 HO only had about 250HP stock. Besides it is a blast to beat a 5.0 mustang with your little 4 banger! The bottom line is to have fun and be safe. Welcome to the club! :welcome:

Is your only 'goal' to do a CHEEP swap?

Before you take advice from anyone on your first post in this thread, YOU need to know what YOU want the car to be/have/do when you are done. IF you post those details here, then and only then, will you receive information that will help get you there.

The valve covers might hit the tires.

oh i am sorry on nor clearifing i am lookin to build a muscle car out of a wagon. i want it to be a complete over kill. plus i have already located the 302HO and got it on lock down. I dont got much of a budget since i am only 17 but i am gonna sell my ford bronco II when i get it good for the street with the 2.0. It does not bother me that the 4 banger is a faster engine for the pinto becauese i already completely know how i want the car in my head... ha. well i started a thread in the your pinto section so check it out plus i added a bunch of new pics....oh and i want the car to have as much rake and the biggiest tiers i can fit under it that i can so the extra horse power might be needed.

Hay nollid

1. Build the car that you picture in your head.

2. After you rake the car realign the front end, it sounds like you plan on raking it a lot. For every degree you lift the back you take a degree of caster out of the front end. Putting positive caster back in to the front end will help it drive straight. This is best done by a professional alignment shop.
