Post by: nollid on January 06, 2008, 06:31:28 PM
Hi, I was wondering if there are any companies that sell kits or any parts to put a 302 into a pinto? I was also wonderinghow to make the pintos into a pannel car?  Its a 74'.

As far as I know, any companies that made "kits" no longer make them. Your best bet is do some searching here before you buy ANYTHING for this swap. There are LOTS of people out there that would gladly take your money in exchange for a USELESS $8. book, or some "direct bolt in Mustang II V8 parts" (that won't).

I am assuming you are referring to the 'Cruzin' Wagon' style with the port-hole windows? If so, your best bet is to find used panels; also there are a bunch of ancillary parts and clips that are needed.

Are you looking to turn it into a 'pannel wagon'?

It would not be too hard to fabricate the brackets, but if you find used panels see if the seller has ALL the parts for the conversion. If you don't want the port-holes, IMHO with the shape of the panels themselves it would be easier to weld patches over the window holes if you didn't want them.
