I don't have any pics of the body yet. This is just an exersize in what can be done with a 2300. I'm going to run it basically stock, then upgrade from there.

This is the engine in a test fit. It will be coming out in the spring and all the holes will be filled and the engine compartment repainted. All the wiring and components will be removed from the engine compartment. It will take a keen eye to find a wire when it is done.

That is the 2bbl, 350 cfm.

I have other carbs to try. The Mutant pony runs best with a huge 600cfm 2bbl. Now I know that big of a carb should be way to big for a 2300 but, somebody forgot to tell the car.
ALSO. I'm looking for an aluminum cam cover, I would really like a Ford motorsports one but, they are hard to find. A turbo cover would be ok.
I'm new here and I guess i posted this on the wrong forum. Now what?

He is one of many. We have a good time and don't take ourselves too seriously. A lot of good info on the site. Keep posting and more pictures when you can. Looks interesting.

I didn't mean to sound like I was mad at him. I'm frequently misunderstood. I don't like it when people are too serious but, sometimes too much joking around gets old.
The most Important thing in life is to have FUN!!! Even if it takes a little bit of seriousness.
So, it looks like you cut off the choke body and did some blending of the venturi area. How much more cfm do you think you got by doing that?
Well, the Holley racing carbs are basically the same. It doesn't actually increase the flow through the carb, it reduces the possibility of air cleaner combos causing a restriction in air flow. I don't want anything up through the hood so I need a low profile air cleaner. I'm actually using a procharger carb hat and a cone filter on the other end of a stainless toob. In the header side pic you can see the hat.
It doesn't need a choke as it isn't a D.D.
