My wife is an airbrush artist. When the 'Pony goes back in the Garage it will look much different when it comes out.
I'll bet that car is a blast to drive. Job well done. When Ford was advertising the Pinto years ago they should have said something like.......................................
" Just a darn good all around car.......You'll see."

I've had the car done for over ten years and somebody finally got it! way to cool! Most people just stand there, scratching their head.
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!! I can definitely see how you came up with the name.
I REALLY LIKE IT!!! And people call me nuts with I put monster truck tires on all of the model cars build (1/24th and 1/25th). I had do do one with a Pinto and of course they loved it. That is pretty cool and gives me ideas for another build ;D
Next weekend, the wagon comes out for a few days at WOW.
NICE JOB!!!
my kids like it. " Monster pinto " they shouted. now they want me to build one.
very nice

The pic that is my avatar was taken at Silver lake sand dunes. It is about a two hour trip there on the trailer. The whole way there and back people turn there heads and stare or point. I've had numerous people stop me on the dunes and ask about the build.
That makes it all worth while. It is an incredible blast to drive as well.
I'm repeatedly asked why I didn't go to a v-8. I have a better power/weight ratio than i could get with a 302 and the same amount of money. Very seldom have I ever had a need for more power.
Where is Silver Lake sand dunes?
If you go to the map in my profile, Go west until you hit lake mich, then follow the coast south till you find it.
West coast of Mich. between Ludington and Muskegon.
How's that front axle set up?
Well, Presently it has leaf springs from a '63 scout as well as the D-27. I have recently obtained an early bronco from which I intend on using the front suspension and axle. The d-27s are really weak. I originally had them front and rear but, I broke rear ends until I couldn't find parts anymore. I then installed the 9" from a '66 Bronco, brakes from a 1/2 ton truck (11" drum), and a posi. The rear end hasn't failed since, imagine that. ;D Then I started breaking front axles. I broke the short axle until I couldn't find anymore. I made a short axle shaft from a cut down D44 and cut my own splines. I then started breaking the long axle. I retired the car from mud racing and built a Ranger with a 351c. I started having children shortly after that so i gave up mud racing. Well now you know my life story  just kiddin' sorry for going on and on.
:hypno: :surprised:
That is one nice Pinto!!!!
Killer ride man, well done, you did a great job, enjoy that Monster!!!
