Title: A Pinto as a "Dream Car?" YES, I can PROVE IT!
Post by: 77turbopinto on December 25, 2007, 08:50:29 PM
I was given a desk top calender as a gift. It is about 5" sq. and has a car photo for every day. I flipped through it NOT expecting to REALLY find a Pinto, BUT........... BAM!!   Amoung all the Ferrari's and Lame-o's, A PINTO!

Feb 19: 1972 Pinto Racecar. (this should make Tony happy)

The canender is "Dream Cars" (page-a-day color calender-2008), from the editors of 'Car and Driver'.

I think there is plenty of proof right here in this forum! Thats pretty funny though. Ive come to only expect pintos being in those "worst car" lists... maybe one of the designers slipped it in.

I do think it has 'help'; the car was built by an editior of C+D, and was restored by a different editior of C+D.

Tony: it's like a SCCA road racer.

On the back of the calendar, or on the box, does this say "DateWorks"? If so, I think I can find these at a SUBSTANTIAL discount, considering DateWorks is one of our subsidiaries, and we MFG these where I work.

Sorry, I not longer have the box. The back says Workman Publishing, New York.
