Title: Pinto in Mustang and Fords Magazine
Post by: Tercin on December 12, 2007, 01:21:25 PM
I've got it and I got to report it! The January 08 issue of Mustang and Fords Magazine page 94 shows a Pinto belonging to "Joe of Decatur Illinois." Here is the quote from the caption; "To some the Pinto is a bad joke, but don't badmouth the car to Joe Laramee. Like any Pinto fan, Joe, of Decatur Illinois, loves his '77 two-door. And before you think he's running some old- school big-block with dual carbs, that tire smoke coming from his slicks is courtesy of the original 2.3 Pinto engine, which has been enhanced with a ported head, a 2.0 intake with blow-through four barrel, and a turbo. The combination is good for high 9s at almost 140 mph." Way to go Joe. A little bit more respect comes along each day.

YES JD comes by the house often...
He buys parts when he breaks them from all the power... ;D ;D ;D
No Pintos in any breakers yards around here.
