does anyone know "for sure" if the rear interior panels from an 80 hatch will work / fit in my 78 hatch?
I can't imagine why not.
What are the part numbers on the 80 panels?
Bill
They should be pretty close to the same.

Re: What are the part numbers on the 80 panels?
not sure... I'd have to dig em out....
all the plastic on the 78 I just got is very brittle w/sun and age... already poked a finger thru in back while cleaning and caused a crack...
I know I have to replace as much as I can... all the defroster duct work under the dash and the rear panels are my main concerns and was wondering if the stuff I pulled from the 80 I scapped will work?
If the numbers are "D7" or later, you should be fine. If they are "D9" or "E0" you MIGHT have an issue; like I said, I CAN'T imagine them not fitting.
BTW: SVO's have "D7" door pulls.

Thanks Guys, just wanted to see if anyone had done that "exact" swap and see what they thought...
I would "think" they work too but... sometimes I get in trouble when I think ;D
