I've been looking around on eBay for a scale model of my car, has anyone ever come across a '77-78? I'd love a keychain miniature as well, but have only ever come across the early models.
Yea, I have not seen any either. We have been looking for YEARS.
I had a 77/78 wagon 1/24 scale when I was 15, and painted it up like my mom's 77 wagon (that I put into a tree).

i found a 77 model on ebay so there out there ....
I too have the '77 wagon 1:87 scale, and I see these everywhere on eBay. I'd love to find a sedan though. I'll keep looking I guess!
If you're handy with epoxy, you could get the coupe, and wagon. Cut them apart at he fender, then epoxy them back together to have a '77 coupe, and a '74 wagon.
AMT, and MPC both made the 77-78 annual kits of the Pinto. IIRC the coupe was the AMT, and the Wagon was an MPC. They are both good kits, that make nice shelf models, but the AMT needs some serious work to get the chassis accurate. If you just want a nice display piece either looks dead on accurate in the body dept.
Here's my AMT replica of my car.

Hey all,
I'm looking for Die cast Pinto hatchback Models in 1/24 ,but would prefer 1/18 scale. It's time to prototype a cage/ chassis design for my '72 road racer, and have something cool on my desk.

You'll be dissapointed when you scale up the cage from the "Fresh Cherries" models. They look great on the shelf. They used the AMT kit to prototype thier chassis, so it's not very accurate. If you want to prototype in scale, I reccommend the MPC plastic kit. It's much better dimensionally in the chassis. Besides, the styrene plastic doesn't require superlue, or epoxy to stick together.
I'VE SEEN THIS POST FOR SEVERAL DAYS, AND THOUGH I MIGHT HAVE
A 77-78 1/24 MODEL KIT. WELL, I LOOKED TODAY, AND I DO HAVE ONE.
IT IS A MPC KIT OF A RUNABOUT. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN IT THEY
CAN PM, OR E-MAIL ME.
