Title: Black turbo Pinto
Post by: rkk on December 07, 2007, 04:49:10 PM
Almost done, Just thought I would share some pictures.  Waiting for the hood to be complete.  Which will have two 68 GTO style scoops for the intercooler and I still have to install my T5. I have the wiring harness out now so I route it cleanly.  But everything should be done by spring. Thanks for all of your help on this site with my questions.

SWEEEEEEET.

I had just clicked on one of the photos when I hear a "BANG" from outside. Yep, sure enough, the SECOND crash (NOT an "accident" if it was preventable...) in front of my house in less than 2 hours.

So, getting back to important matters: Again, sweeeeet.

RKK,

Beautiful workmanship! I like the Harley next to the Pinto, I got an Indian Chief next to mine ;D As far as the clean garage, a marriage is an equal partnership, you have the garage and she has the house ;) Again, nice work!

Just had to say this.  Just took my PINTO out for the first ride with my turbo motor installed and the T5.  Minus the hood Iam still waiting for?

WHAT A RIDE!!!!.  It surprised me.  I have a 69 AMX with a 390 in. GOPAK and this thing would give it a good race.  Anyone that wants to do the swap it is well worth the effort.

LOVE IT!!!! :hypno:

Nice car Ray!
One question How are you getting air through the intercooler?

Mike

When the hood is done it will have 2 scopes on it, kind of like a 87 TC.  One for the intercooler and one just for looks to even it out.  I was careful not to drive to far the other day with out the hood since the IC wasn't picking up that much air

It is actually the showme Mustang club show held at sunset ford.  They usally have it the beginning of June and is always a good show. To be honest I have not really researched for this year.  But it is usally on the showme Mustang website.  I will check.

That's a sweet little ride you got there. It should be faster and quicker than the AMX once you get all the tuning done.

Dont worry about driving it on the street if you want to. I drove mine for about 400 miles before i built the scoop with no problems at all and I run it hard.

Looks good.  I like the looks of the scoop. Mine isn't that big, so I was wondering about it picking up enough air, but I think it will be fine. :-\

My scoop is larger than it needs to be but I wanted to GRAB some air. It doesnt take much of an opening to keep it cool. The IC without the scoop actually did a pretty dood job. I would like to see yours when it's done.
