Post by: EMTcop on November 30, 2007, 12:53:27 AM
anyone put an after market shifter like hurst or b& m on a 1980 with an automatic transmission? If so what kind?, part #, where you purchased, price ETC. Pics of your application would be cool too! :read:

I had a B&M Star Shifter on my '73 with a C4.  No pics, sorry, and I don't know how it would work on your '80.

Hello EMT,
R U Just looking for the COOL 8) factor of the aftermarket shifter?
Most of the aftermarket shifters are geared towards race cars and sit way up off the tunnel. Mostly made for cars that "were" colum shift cars.

Well, my '73 was a 4-speed that was converted to a c-4.  The shifter did sit up a little high, and if you used a top grip to shift it into park you would put your knuckles into the radio or heater controls.  But it was cool, no doubt about it!
