Hello,
On my 1976 Bobcat wagon the the upper half of the woodgrain is really faded. When it gets wet it looks good. On my Roommates Pinto Squire he uses Armourall and it works pretty good...Does work on mine though.
I tried a very light rubbing compound to see if it is just oxide, but that didn't work either.
Does anyone know any trick to brighten that back to new?? Is there a place that can replace it or some where I can get the replacement woodgrain and do it myself??
HELP!
Thanks
Jamie

What did i here my name ? yes there is a trick to bringing it back. Hopefully the rubbing compound did not hurt it. wash it using a gentle brush to clean out the "pours". dry lightly and use eagle one wet wax now called wax as you dry . in a blue spray bottle. spray it on a rag and wipe on the vinyl wood grain. keep reapplying every day or 2 and it should get better . i did see some results right a way but it just gets better every time.
Mine was very dull no luster and sort of rainbow in color when i started. last year i was at a judged show and the judges said they had never see 30 yr old applique look so good. they though it was replaced.

Thank you so much....You too Bill...no worries on the rubbing compound..I did just a very small part about the size of a quarter. I will go out and get some tonight!
Hope it works as good as your, cause the car really looks nice when the woodgrain is all even.
I will keep you posted!
