Can someone tell me if this is a 2.0 or 2.3 block? It is from a '74 Pinto.

that is a 2.0 liter ford pinto motor.

sorry if i beat you to the keyboard pintony.from the look of the block, it is drilled for both front and rear oil dipstick,so it would fit a capri as well. also there are other details that show its a 2.0 liter motor .wish i had a digital camera. i would take a pic and show you what a 2.3 liter block looks like and then you could see the difference between the two blocks. hope you put the block to good use

you dont KNOW how many times I picked up the keyboard to post the 2.0 was a boat anchor ...but I put the keyboard down , just to keep the Pintony Peace...

no worries pintony. every motor has its place. nothing wrong with the 2.0 . if i ever find the right cortina gt or anglia. then you will see what a beauty a 2.0 can be hehehe.ill stick with my 2.3 for pinto's,capri's and such.even the little old ranger pickups.now give me the little 1.6 or 2.0 liter and enough money to let me play. i would show you whats on my dream list but right now all i can do is dream. and point out little things to others who ask. hopefully i can be a help to someone. :welcome:
