So I phone my Dad in Tennesee this evening, right before taking the kiddo out for Halloween. Mom and Dad took a trip down to Memphis last night, for a short visit today. Conversation goes something like this:
Dad: "So, we're in the hotel last night, and I'm looking out the window. There below is a truck with a Wyoming license plate, pulling a trailer and drag car, and right beside it, is a two wheeled dolly pulling - guess what?"
Me: "Um...'57 Chevy?"
Dad: "No, it was a Pinto hatchback, orange, BEAUTIFUL! I went downstairs to look at it...."
Me: "How was it?"
Dad: "It was 99% redone, even the "checkerboard" pattern for the seats was like original, it was unbelieveable! Looks like they were hauling it back to Wyoming."
Post Script - he would NOT have known the year, so I did not ask. Then he goes on to say...
Dad: "Then, we're on the way home today, and saw various cars in different places. There was one spot right alongside XX where I looked, and there up under the trees was tucked one of those wagons with the round window".
Post Script - today MUST have been Halloween, because it's like my Dad was trying to kill me. ARGGGHHH....MUST GET PINTO........ :'(
