I have been trying to sell my '78 Pinto for a few days.on here and within 24 hours I got an e-mail from some one wanting to give me my asking price, I replied. I got a second e-mail today which turned out to be a scam. Something didn't seem right when they were going to send me a check for more than I was asking, anyway here is the article.
Please read this and don't be taken!

P.S. If you want to buy my Pinto, e-mail me!
They were going to send you a BAD check for more.

Yup, sounds like fun, huh?
This is a common scam people pull on ebay as well.
Hey Trigger01:
Post this person's e-mail and WE can have some fun too! ;D
Thanks,

The scammer is probably on a "business trip" (or some other lame excuse) in Nigeria, Romania or some other country like that. Which is why they wanted Trigger to "forward" some money to another person.
This is an old scam, but unfortunately many people are still falling prey to it. This scam runs rampant on craigslist, and they even have an entire page dedicated to warning people of it.
Trigger01,
I am glad you did not get taken in.
FYI, here in Canada, we are very honourable people who send colourful cheques through the mail.
Except for that guy in Windsor who will refill AC systems with R12, which has been banned for over 10 years. He is far from being honourable...
