Title: T5 shifter
Post by: earthquake on October 18, 2007, 12:08:17 AM
Hey yall, got a t5 and hate stretching for 1, 3 and 5.Would you like to have a flat chrome shifter but hate paying $85 bucks for one from B&M.Check this out, find yourself a GM np 203 full time 4x4 transfer case and remove the shifter now find the right drill bit as you will need to drill the holes out to match the t5 shifter. the  spacing of the holes is perfect their just too small. So easy a 6 yr old can do it,my daughter wanted to put it in so------  :surprised:

Good info.

How much taller Is that shifter from the Ford T-5 one?

Not to hijack: I wanted to use the stock Pinto shifter boot, so I shortened + angled my shifter, and ground down the collar.

Hey Bill
The length from the boot to the top of the ball is 8 in,it could use to be shorter but I have the
svo trans so the throw is still fairly short. Here's a pic with boot and ball installed. It will look a little better in a month or so when we get the new interior in.
