My wifes girlfriend is visiting and I figured that while they are carousing the GoodWill stores I would sneak out to the garage and take a look at the sparkies.
The first plug came out fine and looked good but against my better judgement I decided that a look at all of them would be really professional like. So I tugged at the second boot and it would not let go...oh gosh!!! not this not now.
I continued on with the right bank and although all the boots came off intact two clips remained on the plugs.
Continuing on with the left bank proved uneventfull till I tried to get tht last boot off.
It would not budge..and there I am trying to remove that spongy little boot with all the gentle grace of a surgeon and showing special attention to not loosing the clip in the proccess.
Needless to say after advancing through my extraction hareware resourses I got out the big gun and yanked that baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Off comes half the boot leaving the clip on the plug with an inch of wire still attached. There went my set of precision cut sparky wires and my lower back. So in a handycapped state I attempt to remove the clip and it falls into the black hole abyss some call "Down there somewhere and not falling onto the floor".
So I went up and bought a new set of wires with heavier boots and as soon as I can bend over the engine compartment I will put them in.
I will say that the plugs are burning about as good as a plug can burn.

I don't know about not being broke, it sounds to me like those wires were just asking to be trashed soon anyways. New spark plug wires sooth the heart and soul!
