This is my first car, just got it today. I posted about it in another thread but here are the pictures. I spend the last few hours cleaning up the interior a little but I still need to work on a few trouble spots. 28k miles, the body is in good shape, the front seats are ripped a bit and I definitely need a dash pad. The paint isnt bad for the most part except for the roof which is a bit bumpy from some left over glue from the vinyl top.
To say the least I am very happy with it ;D They dont make a smiley with a smile large enough.

hey nice car,you got a prime example of what a pinto should look like.
"i am jealous"
wow great car! I just got my first one the other day too. mine has 60k on it (km's though) and the body isn't as perfect as I'd like.
I love the interior colour of yours.. what do they call that? avacado or something? lol congrats on the good find!
Thanks pintoches and Ponygal. Yeah the interior color is avocado, I wasnt a big fan of it in the beginning but Im warming up to it quickly :) Ive never seen a pinto with the same color interior. Hopefully I can find a matching paint for the dash cap though.
It is awesome in 2007 to see folks getting excited about getting a new Pinto. Even better today than taking delivery of a new one back in the day. Back then they were just an economy car, today they are classics!
Congratulations to you both!
Dave
Hey!
Sweet deal!
Your interior is the same as my 75 sedan.
I didn't like it at first either, but you get used to it real fast.
Have fun!
Congrats! That's mighty fine car you've got there! Just about what I want my 78 Sedan to look like, but canyon blue/canary yellow with black interior.
Was the car garaged it's whole life? It's in damn good shape for it's age!
That's a real nice sport accent you have there. I had a 73 just like it, same color and all, however mine was in pretty bad shape. Are you planning on putting the vinyl top back on?

Chances are Ill remove the metal piece from near the back window, sand it down and repaint it to look like it was never there. The vinyl top would be just as nice but Ill probably go with the plain paint because its probably cheaper and easier.

Thanks! Yeah it looks like it was garaged most of the time, at least not driven. From the paperwork I got along with it, it had 13k miles in 1980 and 28300 in 2003 if I remember correctly. Its got 28853 at the moment.

Yeah i dont mind it anymore, hopefully I can find seat covers or something in the same color though. Thats my biggest fear... Unless this green color was in back in 73
