Title: new member saying hi (pictures added)
Post by: ForcedFord on October 12, 2007, 01:10:11 PM
just joined and would like to say hi to everyone. I live in Delaware near the RT. 13 dragstrip if anyone is familiar.

im picking up a 1973 Pinto Wagon in the next week to start a new project.

Planning on running the motor outta my 91 hatchback mustang 2.3 turbo, other plans are strip the wood grain and chop the top, paint it black with fine blue and silver metallic, and  get rid of all the aluminum or chrome. tubbed. cut down 8.8, and TKO 600

so far thats what the plans are....

i also have a 1984 GT Turbo 2.3 turbo, 1988 Turbocoupe, 1987 Nitrous 5.0 drag car, and a 1991 LX hatch with a built motor(bought it solely for the motor and wheels) that will be used for the pinto.

ohh ya i have a 2008 Mercury Milan with a 2.3 also LOL.

:welcome: It sounds like your going to have a very nice wagon on your hands when you get done with it.

 :welcome: aboard!

Sounds like a great start, be sure to post photos when and if you can.  Any parts you don't use can most likely be used by someone on here, so keep what you can.  Good luck!

my father in laws friend is buying it (Geico Adjuster), he saw it sitting behind someones garage while checking out the claim. Its olive green with dark wood panels and cream colored interior. Car is clean and has "aftermarket wheels" in the back of it with 5 lug spindles. Only rust is by the rear passenger fender and is 4x3 inches.

im trading him a set of unported Ford motorsport x303 aluminum heads for the car(i paid 600 for the heads amd dont have rockers ), and if the car is worth less than that ohh well.. ive been looking for a semi decent pinto to start from and i definately wanted the wagon due to when people see a pinto they are like "what was that" but when they see a 400hp 2.3turbo pinto they are like "what the *#$& is that".

just had the pinto dropped off in the driveway .... mwuhahahahah

its a little worse than what i had figured but really not that bad

last registered in 1985

all interior is in place except the radio and has a complete 2.3 but doesnt have a trans (auto). Even all the trim is in place, marker lights, blah blah blah.

ohh ya its a 1974 ... not 1973.

;D
