Hi all....the oil tube.. does it have an O ring where it goes into the block? or is it friction fit? It`s an `80 Bobcat with an `87 merkur motor I`ve done the swap with the plugs.. rear for front...now the tube sits very loose.
If it is friction fit ..anybody have any ideas? I was thinking of JB weld or along those lines
all input is welcome.and TIA
PS: I`m hoping to get the turbo project back on but things are going slow
The oil tube is a friction fit. It should have a tab that is supposed to bolt to the intake manifold to keep it in the block. I would make it removeable as possible as you never know when stuff will happen.
When I build fresh blocks, I use JB Weld to secure the tube.
Not sure U could get a block clean enough to do this while still in the car????

Ok thanks..I`ll have to rig something up as a bracket..and I may JB Weld it in place..I`ll see when I rig it how secure it is the motor isn`t in yet..
