Hi Folks:
Just found this today. For those who show their Pintos this might be of interest.
Marti Auto Works,
http://www.martiauto.com/
has the privileged licensee to Ford Motor Company's entire production database for the 1967-1979 model years. They can reproduce the complete history of your Pinto or any Ford. For those who have a few bucks check out the "Elite Report." This report gives you the complete factory option list, the door data plate info, and includes a reproduction of your door data plate. You also get a reproduction of the window sticker and personalized production statistics that show how unique your car is. All of this is mounted behind a Ford blue matte board and installed in a 16" x 20" black frame.

If you have a Pinto that is different from the run of the mill, Marti Autoworks is definitely the place to find out more about it. This is how I found out the red 72 Pangra started life as a pinto ordered from Huntington Ford but was not sold until 10 months later in April of 73. I also had a report run on a 70 Torino Cobra I had in the 1990's that helped me authenticate it.

Wow, I really need to get an elite report! :D
A couple of years ago I paid them to reproduce the data plates for the door stickers. They didn't have them, they had all the other Fords. Cost me $500.00. :rolleye: I needed to replace my ripped sticker, so please partake in the feast, get yours for alot less. It was not a total loss, they were nice enough to make me two of them, one with all the changes done to the car since 1977, (new paint code, engine, trans, etc.) Your :welcome:
