Wanting to know how many of you have the squared off horeshoe piece that says "caution hot" that goes around the radiator cap. My 77 has a plastic shroud on the aft side of the radiator that says "caution hot". This shroud is where the directions sticker is for cold fill. Is mine perhaps an after market? Pintony? 77pintocw? any info on this one?
Don't ask Pintony, he thinks they stopped making Pintos in 1973.
Sounds like you have the radiator and shroud that Ford made (mostly) for the factory A/C cars. It is wider and has the shroud mounts.
Do you have A/C and/or a 5 blade fan?

Hey losin sux:
My '77 did not come with this piece of equipment. However, my Pinto was made in 3/77
and has factory A/C. This may have been an option that was put on later models.
When was your '77 made?

The Plastic shield piece is a factory unit for 77-78 Pintos.
It attaches with 2- 3/8 corse thread bolts.
