My pinto is a 4 cylinder 2300, pushin lots of horses... but I'm wantin ta take it to da drag strips....ne help is appreciated....Thanx...Travis

Pushin lots of horses, huh?  I assume then that you are familiar with axle hop.
You need to work on getting the power to the ground.  Get an 8 inch rear, some traction bars, and a good transmission.
If you are indeed "pushin lots of horses" , why would you need a bigger motor?

I read your post today and sense that the part about "pushin lots of horses" is said with tongue in cheek.
I was picturing someone who thought his 18 ro 19 second car was fast.
I would go with a 302 simply because motor mounts headers are available, so the swap shouldn't be that difficult.
Also, like I said before, work on getting the power to the ground.
