Title: Is it worth it?
Post by: Weatherboy on May 25, 2004, 05:19:14 AM
I know a silly question in a pinto board, but I am not really in it to restore or pretty up a pinto at least for now but think its a neat car and would like to have one, there is one for sale for $975 figure he would take $500 for it 1980 couple 4 spd 4cyl Pinto says needs muffler has not been inspected since 96. Thinking it could need a lot jsut to be legal as well we jsut got emmisions law passed last year and dunno if it would pass that, what do you pinto guys think?

Thanks,
Dustan :)

8)personally i think the car is worth the price IF the body is in decent shape and the car runs well. since i want another pinto, and if this car is close, and in decent shape, if you dont want it, i will buy it. where is the car located??

Since you guys are helpful in how much something is worth... can you tell me if this car is worth $1,000?
It's not a TRUE Pangra.
It has a V6 that needs rebuilt
Needs some body work and some interior work.. not much but it does need some attention.
It's the bottom car

8)i would offer $700, and probably pay $900 depending on how the engine actually ran, and what it was doing.

Have no idea on if it even runs.. I had plans on putting a 302 in it... but my drag car needs money so I'm selling it...
So you think I should ask $900 for it?
Thanks
Bob

8)i would say put it up at $1,000 and accept something like $800. that would give you haggle room.

The paint job alone should make the car go for $1200 to $1500. I used to live in the KCK/KCMO area and I know that on the MO side, vehicles run a lot cheaper than on the KS side. As long as the body work doesn't require a complete new paint job (especially the flames), you should be able to get quite a bit more than $1000.

Well, I'm no body man by no means... but I think there some body work that needs done.. but not a lot..
I think I'll shoot for a $1,000

Anyone intersted?  ::)

Alright. I am. $1000 sounds fair, but I'd like to see views of the driver's side, too. We can PM the details. I only live 4 1/2 hours away down I-70 and am highly familiar with the KC area having lived there, so getting the vehicle shouldn't be a problem.
