Howdy all, 79 Bobcat (2.3, 4spd.). Car won't start it turns over but NO spark. Replaced ignition switch, cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, coil, brain box, pickup coil, any ideas ? Must get car ready for storage. Thanks D.D. ???
Is the camshaft turning? If not, and ther is NO spark, the timing belt is most likely at fault. If the cam is turning, I would pull the + wire off the coil and run a jumper to the battery.

On the older cars I ALWAYS check the fusable link at the starter relay.

Howdy, thanks for the help, we got her running. After replacing every electrical part ! It turned out to be the tach grounding out. So no more tach. Thanks again you guys are alway there to help ;D Thanks D.D.
New question, now that I have everything back together any idea where to set the timing back to ? Back ground; engine is bored 40 over, has a mild crane cam with a Holley 390 4bbl. Thanks D.D.
CAR is FIXED !!! End of transmission. :fastcar:
