Title: 1974 steering coupling is wasted

hello

i have a 74 pinto with manual steering,the rack leaked all the oil out ,so i went and picked up a reman one,got the bushings,ordered 2 new tie rods and went to restab the steering shaft back into the coupling and noticed it is all busted ,so i removed the 2 nuts and moved that part out of the way,but the 2 studs that hold the coupling on HOW DO THESE SCREW OUT ? I AM STUMPED,COULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW TO GET THIS STEERING COUPLING OFF  PLEASE HELP ME   tHANK YOU PINTOMMY IN Colorado
