Pinto Car Club of America

I've posted my Pinto for sale, I'm buying a different car. I can't leave this place tho, too many great people & too much great info. You guys have become my online "family" & while I can part with the car, I can't part with y'all. I posted before that I was looking at a Subaru SVX. Well I'm getting it, but it carries a price. I can't afford to keep insurance on both cars (well actually all 4 I own) Unless I re-register my Pinto with antique tags & get insurance based on that. Where's the fun in owning a car you can't drive often? Then I can't afford the tags.

I've agonized over this for the better part of 2 years. My Pinto has been my faithful steed for 7 years (longer than any other car). She's only ever let me walk home once. As a daily driver, she's been the best. If it means anything, the SVX I'm buying is an absolute STEAL. From a trusted seller. (Think $800 for a $2500 car)

I hope you guys can understand, that I think I still have something to contribute to this forum. I'm not abandoning my love of Pintos, maybe even making room for a better one in the future. Oh & even though I've only just listed it, I'm already kicking myself. So I don't need any help *grins*

Have you thought about a different insurance comp?
Im with 21st and theve stood by us in a few problems weve had. The pintos policy is all of $260 or so a year. I pay over 2600 a year and thats for the other 2 cars the pinto is the 260 of that as a extra vehicle.

If you really are done with it i understand, but dont let the insurance issue stop you dead cold.

Thought it was you on the SVX board...
If I wasnt about to buy an SVX myself I would look HARD at your car.
If all goes well I will be buying something else's 5 speed teal. ;)
