i got a 76 run about today this is my third pinto and im trying to figure out how to make it faster then my dads drag truck and 4 cyl arent my speciality im used to dirt cars not drag cars but my dad wont stop running his mouth so i wanna embarrass him in a bout to be lime green ford 4 cyl pinto so if anyone knows any tricks that could help please let me know

How about *FOUR* turbos? One for each "popper"/cylinder.  :afro:

would a motor and turbo from a wrecked 86 ford thunderbird be a good start?

Yep, also get the wiring harness, computer, VAM, etc.

im picking the donor car(86 thunder bird turbo) up this weekend i got the car stripped and ready i hope its as easy as everyone keeps telling me
