Post by: dark89gsr on August 16, 2007, 07:21:54 PM
ok i have looked over the posts and i am not getting anywhere. more or less i am getting more frusterated. the only pinto rotor i found has a 5x 5" lug setup and the most ford are 5 x 4-1/2". i want to know what spindles from what ford will work on a pinto. i am sure i have to change lca and uca and a ball joint or two. bug i would not mind running bigger brakes at the same note. (and some 2" drop spindles ). ty for the help guys.

74 and up can utilize the same components as mustangII. 71 to 73 are their own animal. If you don't mind forking out about 6 Franklins you can get a complete front kit made by Wilwood. I have Wilwood front and rear on the 73 wagon I'm building. You can order the brakes online at www.magnumforce.com. As far as converting the rear to 5 lug you need to swap to an 8" or 9" rearend. There are plnty of posts on this site regarding this swap. Things may be a little tough to find right now because it apears the site is going through some enhancements. Once you get to know your way around the site you will find that there is more information about pintos here than even Ford knew about ;D  :welcome:to the club
