Title: v8 swap ?s
Post by: stever on August 12, 2007, 06:24:57 AM
The engine is in the car and i got to looking at it,looks like it is offset to the pass side an inch or two,if you look from the front of the car.I used stock frame mounts and mustang II engine mounts.Dont see how it could be moved over because of the trans tunnel.Now for the headers.I want to use flipped shortys,but they want to get in the upper arm and in the front at the frame rail.The engine is a 90 5.0.THIS CAR IS KILLING ME

The whole Trans tunnel is offset;
Common for a V8 in a pinto to be over to the right an inch or two.needs room for the steering.
Just the way it is......

Mustang ii Manifolds is the easiest way to go. in my opinion

My engine sits the exact same way freaked me out after I bought it and got to looking at it but it runs fine no problems
